We are reopening from Monday 3rd August

We are pleased to announce that the Sports Centre will reopen on Monday 3rd August and we look forward to welcoming our customers back after four long months of closure.

The staff and volunteers are working hard to get the building safe and ready; the building is currently undergoing a deep clean and some rooms have been given a facelift.

The safety of our customers, staff and volunteers is paramount and we now have new operating procedures to safeguard all visitors to the Sports Centre. Please visit our COVID-19 page for more information on how to use the Centre safely.

Activities and opening hours

Unfortunately, we are limited to which activities we can offer, and as a result our opening hours will be reduced. We hope that as the COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease we will gradually return to normal.

Initially we will only open from 10am – 2pm, Monday to Friday and on an evening 6pm – 9pm,  Monday to Thursday.

There will be a fitness class each day, two cardio fitness rooms, weights room, outdoor 5-a-side/6-a-side football, roller skating, badminton, tennis and a Children’s summer playscheme on offer.

Activities must be booked in advance by clicking the booking links on our website or social media platforms. You can also book by ringing our new number 07592363131. Tennis and badminton bookings by phone only.

Make a booking.

We will constantly review the situation with a view to extending opening hours and providing more activities as the guidance changes.

5-a-side/6-a-side football court hire will now be £15 per hour before 6pm and £30 per hour between 6pm – 9pm.

All other prices will remain the same as before.

We have temporarily suspended offering monthly passes (unlimited use); this is to enable as many people as possible to use the Centre during the reduced hours. However, we will be offering discounts on block bookings of ten or more sessions, and these can be used for either classes or gym sessions.

(Customers who have ‘unspent’ monthly passes that were issued before the lockdown will be able to carry the ‘unspent’ period over).

Our trustees constantly review the service provision and your feedback is important to us. Please let us know your views by sending us an email to or completing a complaints and suggestion form, available from reception.

Finally, we ask for your patience with us during this transitional period.
